This beautiful high performance LA-4 Buccaneer is completely restored and upgraded as only Lake Central Air Services can do! Starting with a very low time, well-equipped airframe, this has been a four year project to build The Best of the Best! Starting with a freshly overhauled engine and propeller, brand new Garmin Glass Panel, fresh Base White paint and all the options that could be added, this aircraft is a serious performer and is safe and ready for another half century of flying adventures!

The 180 hp 1969 LA-4 was the last year of production for the light airframes before they added considerable weight to build the LA-4-200 fuel injected model. Those-in-the know still prefer the carburetted 180 hp model because they are easy to hot start and they perform better on the water and in the air than the heavier models built later. AXG has always been the fastest Buc in the fleet, light on the controls and climbs like a homesick angel!

AXG was built for the serious back-country pilot who wants all the best features and the highest reliability possible. Money was not an object to achieving these important goals.

This LA-4 has had a good, easy life and has always been well-cared for. It is always heated hangar-stored and it is only maintained by Lake Central.

There has been over $340,000 spent on this aircraft to bring it to its present state. If you want The Best of the Best with decades of happy flying and adventures ahead, then AXG is what you need at a bargain price!

(Serious enquiries only please.)

With Spring coming, AXG won’t last long!
