The LCAS EM bird and winch system is designed provide the aircraft operators the ability to deploy and retrieve an EM tow bird with a hydraulic winch system.

The modification involves the installation of a hydraulic winch system, latch and nest systems, as well as a belly mounted Pan-Tilt Zoom (PTZ) camera system to allow the operator to monitor all aspects of the tow bird during flight operations.

Options are available for the pilot to monitor the bird as well, either with an optional display or tied into an existing MFD, if so equipped.

This installation has been designed to have as little effect on the aircraft as possible and the external underside latch and nest systems easily removable for regular flight.
