LCAS’ fully certified (Supplemental Type Certificate) survey belly pod system is designed to allow operators to use equipment that would normally require major structural airframe alterations such as cutting openings for cameras and Lidar. The LCAS Belly pod will accommodate up 80 or 150 pounds (depending on the airframe) of survey or other equipment, without interfering with the structure of the aircraft. In the belly pod, the installed equipment may be arranged to look straight down, thus a hole in the aircraft floor is not required.
